The Manager, Fraud Data Product Management will support the strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery of Ally’s Fraud Data Plane (FDP), a governed operational data platform that centralizes reusable fraud data, creates fraud intelligence and recommendations, and distributes those capabilities to downstream decisioning, investigation, and business processes. This leader will operate at the intersection of Fraud, Product, Data, Technology, Architecture, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and downstream platform teams. The role will translate fraud business needs into prioritized platform capabilities, connect use cases to required data, manage dependencies and delivery gates, and help ensure FDP investments produce measurable risk, customer, and operational outcomes. Success requires a highly collaborative and analytical product leader who can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, manage a complex portfolio, and drive initiatives from intake and discovery through implementation, adoption, and value realization.
The Work Itself Key Responsibilities • Help shape and execute the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for a modern fraud data platform. • Translate fraud business needs into clear product requirements, data needs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans. • Lead intake, discovery, and prioritization across new capabilities, committed initiatives, platform enhancements, and emerging business demand. • Partner with Fraud, Product, Data, Technology, Architecture, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver capabilities from concept through launch and ongoing operation. • Advance reusable fraud data, real-time and batch integration, data quality, lineage, traceability, and governed access to support detection, decisioning, and investigations. • Manage cross-functional dependencies, delivery risks, tradeoffs, testing, release readiness, and adoption while ensuring temporary solutions have a clear path to the target platform. • Establish success measures and use data to demonstrate improvements in fraud risk, decision accuracy, customer experience, investigation speed, and operational efficiency. • Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leaders and delivery teams, building alignment and accountability in a matrixed environment.
Qualifications We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, data, analytics, technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, program delivery, data products, financial services, fraud, risk, or a related discipline. • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy and discovery through implementation and production support. • Strong understanding of modern product-management practices, Agile delivery, backlog management, requirements development, prioritization, and value measurement. • Working knowledge of data platforms and concepts such as real-time streaming, batch integration, data modeling, APIs, lineage, data quality, operational data stores, analytical platforms, and cloud-based services. • Experience partnering with engineering and architecture teams; ability to translate between business needs and technical delivery without serving as the solution architect. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills. • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, resolve ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive decisions in a highly matrixed environment. • Experience with fraud, identity, authentication, payments, decisioning, investigations, or financial-crime platforms is strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications • 7+ years of relevant experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or equivalent
