The Opportunity We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to be the onsite face of IT in our San Francisco office. You’ll keep Postmanauts productive, from first-day laptop setup to the last-minute meeting room fix, while also owning a slice of our broader IT systems work. This is a great fit if you love hands-on support, want to go deeper on identity, MDM, and automation, and are ready to take on more ownership than an entry-level role.
What You’ll Do • Provide onsite deskside support for laptops, peripherals, software, and access issues, and serve as the go-to IT contact for employees and leaders in the office. • Own the onboarding and offboarding experience in SF: prepare and issue devices, configure workstations, and make sure new hires have access to core tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, Okta) on day one. • Support account lifecycle management, including provisioning, access changes, and deactivation, following our identity and access processes. • Manage and troubleshoot our Mac fleet (and some Windows devices) using MDM tools such as Jamf and Intune. • Monitor and maintain Zoom-based meeting rooms, resolve AV issues, and coordinate with vendors or AV/Enterprise Engineering on complex ones. • Work tickets from our ITSM tool and #it-help, communicate clearly, and meet our SLAs. • Manage local inventory and asset tracking: receiving, labeling, issuing, recovering, and securely retiring devices. • Support onsite events such as all-hands and leadership meetings with IT/AV setup and testing. • Create and maintain knowledge base articles and self-service documentation in Confluence. • Identify recurring issues and propose or build small automations and process improvements. • Partner with IT teammates across time zones on projects and escalations. About You • Experience: 3-5 years in IT support, help desk, or desktop engineering. • Communication and customer service: You’re patient, clear, and friendly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, including senior leaders, in writing and in person. • Mac and Windows: You have strong macOS troubleshooting skills, including MDM (Jamf or similar), and a working knowledge of Windows. • Curious and organized: You can research a problem, find a solution, and turn it into a well-thought-out, documented process that others can follow. • SaaS administration: You have hands-on experience administering SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian) and an identity provider such as Okta. Nice to Have • Windows and Microsoft 365 administration (Intune, Entra, Azure) • Experience supporting Zoom Rooms or similar conference room systems • AI experience, especially chatbots that feed into an ITSM tool • Executive support and/or Apple Genius experience
