Lead Software Engineer – Mesh Generation

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. • Responsibilities• Research, design, and develop robust and efficient algorithms for mesh generation. • Develop computational geometry algorithms for complex 2D and 3D models. • Improve mesh quality, robustness, and performance. • Investigate and resolve geometric, topological, and numerical issues. • Optimize performance using parallel computing and multithreading. • Collaborate with the team to develop and integrate mesh generation technologies. • Use AI-assisted coding tools and agents to improve development productivity. • Contribute to code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Basic Qualifications• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and computational geometry.
• Strong programming skills in C++.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications• Experience with mesh generation algorithms.
• Experience with geometry processing or mesh optimization.
• Knowledge of CAD geometry, topology, or geometry kernels.
• Familiarity with parallel computing or multithreading.
• Exposure to GPU programming is a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development and coding agents is a plus.

• The annual salary range for California is $119,000 to $221,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
