Where is the work: Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What’s in it for you: Thermo King has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a New Product Development Program Manager. This role will lead cross–functional product development teams to deliver new or improved Thermo King products to market through a structured Stage–Gate NPD process. This role ensures new products meet specific customer requirements, program goals, timelines, and budgets. Program Managers take P&L accountability for all program/project activity through product launch. A key deliverable for the role is to follow best practices and drive teams towards project execution to a hand–off with operations. You will achieve success by leading well with influence as opposed to direct authority, dealing well with ambiguity and leading the team through it effectively, advocating and removing obstacles for the team, and maintaining a proactive, problem–solving mindset, all while keeping the teams motivated and engaged. This is not an IT PMO role. We are seeking a program manager with experience in engineering, new product development, manufacturing, or industrial portfolio management.

What You Will Do: • Take overall responsibility for complete product delivery from requirements and prototype testing through to successful product launch. • Partner closely with management and business leaders to define program scope, objectives, and robust risk assessments. • Collaborate with Product Management to establish and define customer and product requirements. • Direct and coordinate activities of program personnel to ensure programs progress on schedule and within budget while strictly meeting customer requirements. • Anticipate issues and drive proactive countermeasures to ensure programs meet intended objectives. • Escalate critical issues and mitigation recommendations to executive leadership in a timely manner. • Resolve people and team dynamic issues to maintain effective performance across the cross–functional team. • Manage intra–program dependencies and their interrelationships, including their impact upon other enterprise programs and projects. • Mentor and coach program team members and non–dedicated project leaders on project management fundamentals and governance. • Schedule and facilitate timely status review meetings, gate assessments, and progress milestone updates. • Drive the integrated planning and implementation of multiple cross–functional programs across the organization. • Drive operational and process efficiencies to actively reduce New Product Development (NPD) cycle times. • Collaborate with the PMO Leader and other Program Managers across the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to continuously improve the Trane Technologies Project Development Process. • Lead post–program reviews to capture lessons learned, driving organizational learning and long–term process improvement. • Travel 10–20%.

What you will bring: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience leading complex New Product Development hardware projects. • At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in end–to–end project/program execution within a structured Stage–Gate process. • Proven experience leading diverse cross–functional teams and communicating effectively at the executive (VP) level. • PMP or equivalent PMI certification required. May be pursued after hire. • Solid understanding of P&L management, financial tracking, and hardware/manufacturing product development cycles. • Certified MS Project Orange Belt preferred.
