About the role
Enterprise IT Transition Senior ManagerThe Opportunity: Join Booz Allen as an Enterprise IT Transition Senior Manager and establish the CIO’s repeatable capability for technology due diligence, acquisition readiness, post-close integration, and transition services. In this role, you’ll serve as the accountable M&A technology leader from early pipeline engagement through Day 1, stabilization, and the first months of integration. You’ll combine strategic capability leadership with hands-on IT program management to help the CIO perform integrations and divestitures faster, with clearer decision rights, less rework, and more predictable resource demands. When an M&A event is activated, you’ll serve as the IT Integration Program Manager, standing up governance, coordinating CIO resources, managing risks and decisions, and providing executive-level insight into progress, effort, dependencies, and completion. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You’ll Work On: • Establish and evolve the Enterprise IT Transition Management playbook, including templates, collateral, process documentation, controls, stakeholder responsibilities, and repeatable practices for integrations and divestitures. • Identify repeatable patterns across transactions and recommend improvements to the CIO operating model, governance, tools, and capacity needed to support multiple concurrent integrations or divestitures. • Build trusted relationships with Corporate Development, functional leaders, sector leaders, CIO leadership, and technology stakeholders to support early CIO engagement in the M&A pipeline. • Coordinate structured technology diligence across technology compatibility, operational risk, scalability, data, infrastructure, applications, vendors, contracts, and transition dependencies. • Translate diligence findings into executive-ready implications, decisions, estimated level of effort, risks, dependencies, and recommended actions. • Create and maintain structured post-close plans that support Day 1, stabilization, and IT systems and services alignment during the first months of integration. • Establish readiness criteria and decision gates for identity, endpoint, collaboration, applications, data, service management, network, support, and business continuity. • Lead IT integration program execution once an M&A event is triggered, including governance cadence, steering forums, integrated plans, RAID management, decision logs, status reporting, escalation paths, testing, cutover, communications, and hyper care. • Align CIO and business stakeholders with different priorities, timelines, and definitions of readiness while translating executive decisions into delivery direction and delivery realities into decision-ready options. • Lead, coach, and develop team members responsible for M&A support, transition planning, program management, readiness tracking, exercises, execution support, metrics, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
