Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a Senior Manager, Future Mobility to own how we find, select, and launch locations for our Future Mobility partners, including AV fleet, robot and drone operators, and eVTOL players. In this role, you will activate and expand our 4,500+ and rapidly growing parking location portfolio to meet the operational needs of autonomous vehicle hubs, drone delivery nests, robot delivery stations, and eVTOL vertiports. The role at its core is a business development and strategy role. You will serve as the connective tissue between our partners, asset owners, and internal teams – including local operations, legal, sales – to support our most ambitious partnerships and drive significant long-term growth.
What you'll do
- Source, structure, and negotiate new Future Mobility partnerships, shaping commercial terms and aligning cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Operations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Sales, and Finance
- Ensure value delivery and that risks are shared openly and addressed; maintain and continually improve a diligence checklist that you run each deal through before signing
- Drive the approach for ensuring successful partnerships that grow in value for both parties over time
- Evaluate and select locations across our 4,500+ and growing site network for autonomous vehicle, drone delivery, robot delivery, and eVTOL partners
- Lead retrofit and setup projects, working with real estate, procurement, and operations teams to prepare locations for partner use
- Build trusted relationships with partners and property owners before a contract is signed, and stay involved afterward: supporting escalations, joint planning with the partner, and opening doors to new teams within the partner’s organization
- Engage the right cross-functional teams in partner marketing activities, including collaborating with PR, brand, direct response, events, and more
- Partner with Operations to transition signed contracts and ensure teams are fully equipped for ongoing operational excellence
- Augment, maintain, and ensure clean internal data for partnership agreements you lead and contribute to data fidelity across the team
- Track partner performance metrics and translate field insights into actionable inputs for company strategy and product roadmaps
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of relevant work experience, including 3+ years independently leading end-to-end business development and partnerships within a fast-paced, tech-enabled company
- Proven commercial acumen to structure and negotiate balanced, sustainable agreements
- Track record of managing multiple complex partner relationships and external deliverables simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to take autonomous ownership, build zero-to-one frameworks, and scale initiatives effectively
- Strong bias for action, setting clear deadlines and executing with precision
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities early
- Proven success building lightweight, scalable processes that maintain rigor without sacrificing execution speed
- Exceptional cross-functional influence to drive alignment across real estate, operations, sales, and external property owners
- Experience using AI tools to make workflows faster, smarter, and more responsive
- Willingness to travel up to ~25%
While not required, these are a plus:
- Direct experience with autonomous vehicles, drones, robotics, eVTOL, mobility operations, or real estate
- Prior management consulting experience
