UW Medicine IT Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager, Automation and Orchestration.
WORK SCHEDULE · 100% FTE · Monday – Friday; Core hours for UW Medicine IT Services are 8:00 – 5:00 (PST) · Day Shift
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for providing direction, management, program development, and administration for the UW Medicine’s Automation and Orchestration strategy, including the strategic and tactical planning, architectural design, capabilities development, implementation, and quality assurance for automation and orchestrasions between critical applications, ancillary systems, and other applications · Manage teams, including: o API Integration Services o Managed File Transfer Services o Automation Solutions o Citizen Development Services · Supervise business analysts, developers, software engineers, and third-pary consultants, as well as work with a number of matrixed project managers, analysts, and developers from other teams and/or contract employees as determined by need · Coordinate all project development throughout UW Medicine involving automation and orchestration initiatives in the following technical domains: o Go Anywhere MFT o UiPath RPA and other RPA tools o Mulesoft Anypoint API manager o AI o Future Agentic Orchestration tools · Represent assigned technology portfolios to executive leadership, governance committees, and stakeholder groups · Collaborate with technical leads and staff to oversee solution design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support · Develop strategic roadmaps for integration, automation, managed file transfer, and citizen development services · Establish governance, operational processes, metrics, standards, and best practices · Drive innovation through adoption of emerging integration, automation, AI, and low-code technologies
REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of experience/education 6+ years of IT experience must include: · 4+ years' experience with the following: o Experience with Integration Technologies o Experience developing appropriate systems and metrics for measuring progress, backlogs, workloads, staffing, and other project resources o Responsibility for leading teams supporting large-scale enterprise customers, both internal and external · Deep knowledge of Artificial Intelligence trends and implications for the organization · Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams · Experience managing technology teams in performance turnaround situations · Demonstrated leadership experience working with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex project environment · Experience establishing systems design and programming standards · Demonstrated ability to manage issue resolution Successful candidates will also possess: • 3+ years in Healthcare IT environment • 3+ years supporting Go Anywhere or Mulesoft Anypoint Manager • Proven customer service orientation with a history of delivering high-quality products on time • Experience with UIPath or other Remote Process/Automation Technologies
